Scopas Tang (Zebrasoma scopas)

A hardy and active herbivore, the Scopas Tang is a great addition to larger reef or fish-only aquariums thanks to its algae-eating habits and adaptability.
• Distribution: Indo-Pacific – from the eastern coast of Africa to the western Pacific
• Size: Up to 12 inches (30 cm)
• Habitat: Lagoon and reef slopes with abundant algae and rock structures
• Diet: Herbivore – feeds primarily on marine algae; provide nori, spirulina, and herbivore pellets
• Aquarium Care: Needs a tank of at least 125 gallons, with plenty of live rock for grazing. Can be territorial with other tangs, especially of similar shape
• Reef Safe: Yes. Safe with corals and invertebrates
