Kashiwae Anthias (Pseudanthias kashiwae)

A stunning and less common anthias species, the Kashiwae Anthias is admired for its vibrant pink-to-orange coloration and graceful schooling behavior in reef aquariums.
• Distribution: Western Pacific – including Japan, the Philippines, and surrounding areas
• Size: Up to 5 inches (12 cm)
• Habitat: Outer reef slopes and drop-offs, often in large schools at moderate depths
• Diet: Planktivore – feeds on zooplankton in the water column; requires multiple daily feedings of mysis, copepods, and enriched frozen foods
• Aquarium Care: Best kept in groups with one male and multiple females in a well-oxygenated tank of at least 100 gallons. Needs stable water parameters and gentle flow
• Reef Safe: Yes. Completely safe with corals and invertebrates
