Lyretail Anthias (Pseudanthias squamipinnis)

Colorful, active, and commonly found in reef aquariums, the Lyretail Anthias is a hardy and social fish ideal for vibrant community reef tanks.

• Distribution: Indo-Pacific – including the Red Sea, East Africa, and islands of the western Pacific

• Size: Up to 5 inches (13 cm)

• Habitat: Outer reef slopes and drop-offs, usually found in large midwater schools

• Diet: Planktivore – feeds on zooplankton in the water column; needs multiple daily feedings of mysis, brine, copepods, and quality frozen foods

• Aquarium Care: Should be kept in groups (1 male with several females) in a tank of at least 100 gallons. Requires high oxygen levels, stable water, and low aggression tankmates

• Reef Safe: Yes. Does not bother corals or invertebrates
