Majestic Angelfish (Pomacanthus navarchus)

Origin: Indo-Pacific (Indonesia, Papua New Guinea, Philippines, Great Barrier Reef)

Habitat: Outer reef slopes and lagoons, often among coral and rubble

Diet: Omnivore – Eats sponges, tunicates, marine algae, mysis shrimp, and prepared angelfish diets

Size: Up to 10 inches (25 cm)

Reef Safe: Not reef safe – May nip at soft and stony corals, especially LPS (e.g. Acanthastrea, Scolymia, Euphyllia) and clams

Minimum Tank Size: 125 gallons (475 liters)

Temperament: Semi-aggressive – Can be territorial, especially toward similar-sized angelfish

Care Level: Moderate to difficult

Lifespan: 10–15 years in captivity with proper care
