Origin: Western Pacific (Indonesia, Philippines, Great Barrier Reef, Solomon Islands)
Habitat: Lagoons and outer reef slopes, often near coral and rocky areas with algae growth
Diet: Herbivore – Primarily eats marine algae and seaweed; also accepts nori, spirulina, herbivore pellets, and some meaty frozen foods
Size: Up to 9 inches (23 cm)
Reef Safe: With caution – Generally safe, but may nip at some soft corals or LPS if underfed
Minimum Tank Size: 100 gallons (380 liters)
Temperament: Peaceful – Can be shy; gets along well with most tankmates
Care Level: Easy to moderate
Lifespan: 5–10 years in captivity with proper care
