Habitat: Outer reef slopes and drop-offs, usually in areas with strong currents
Diet: Omnivore – Feeds on zooplankton in the wild; in captivity eats mysis shrimp, krill, squid, marine pellets, and algae-based foods
Size: Up to 12 inches (30 cm)
Reef Safe: With caution – Generally avoids corals but may eat small invertebrates like shrimp, crabs, and snails

Temperament: Semi-aggressive – Can be peaceful when young but becomes territorial with age
